One day in 2000 while in a deep meditation a voice whispered to me it said that I would take the name Deva. I remember the surprise I felt when entering back into the body.  I always thought of Diva as being a demanding pompous entertainer and needed more clarity on why this was to be given to me.  I grab a piece of paper and pen and then gently went back into altered state and asked for the spelling of this name.  When I returned to my body I saw on the paper a strange spelling. D.E.V.A  D.E.V.I.  II remember I kept looking at it and the spelling and trying to pronounce it. I had no idea what that meant and did not recall ever seeing or hearing it.  If I did it had been many many years ago. I was going to research it but then the phone ringing distracted me and for some reason it was dropped from my "To Do" list.  It would be in 2002 after sustaining an injury while living by the ocean that during my intense pain episodes the name would be whispered once more.  I would find myself using it and when asked my name hearing the  reply, "It fits you beautifully."  Some of my friends would at times call me Devi or as one friend calls me Deevs as a nickname. It seemed very familiar and I did not question. When I searched the name it reflected many parts of my life and the path that I walk.  For spiritual path has always been the way and of course everyone knows how the moon has special meaning to me. It is a name like all do that carries responsibility and to be used wisely.  As a numerologist that was taught by one of the best I know the importance of the name given to us and what secrets it holds.
